Spring GICU Results

Over 250 volunteers came together for the 2026 Spring Great Islands Cleanup participated across Orcas, San Juan, Lopez, Shaw, and Sucia Islands and covered 200 miles of shoreline, roads, and trails. Together, we hauled 2,550 lbs of waste destined for the landfill and diverted another 170 lbs for recycling.

Special thanks to the 88 Orcas volunteers who picked up over 800 lbs of garbage and covered 52.5 miles of roads and beaches!
