Great Minds Think Alike

We were excited to learn that we are not the only place in the state that is crushing and reusing glass—so is Lake Chelan! The Lake Chelan Rotary was able to secure grants and donations to buy an Andela Glass Crusher almost exactly like ours! They have a great website to check out. Really cool is the way they have incorporated the support of several of the area’s many wineries (obviously big glass packaging users) in what they do. In fact at least one of the wineries is buying up loads of the glass-sand and using it on all the pathways around their vineyard! This has summer “business trip” for us written all over it… 🙂
